Supervisory intelligence · water & industrial infrastructure
A storm announces itself.
Drift never does.
Metis is a supervisory AI layer that runs above the PLCs and SCADA you already own. It learns your plant's healthy baselines, sees failures forming months before any alarm — and with your operator's approval, corrects them through the plant's own controls in seconds.
What Metis does
It watches. It sees. It steers.
Every alarm system ever installed asks one question: has a limit been crossed? By then the problem is grown. Metis asks a different question — where is this heading?
Watches the vitals
Metis holds hundreds of signals at once and watches the relationships between them — flow against power, pressure against recovery, dose against residual. It learns this plant's healthy baseline. Not the manufacturer's curve. This plant. This train. This pump.
SCADA WATCHES LIMITS · METIS WATCHES TRAJECTORIESSees the drift
A pump drawing three percent more power for the same flow. A membrane's pressure creeping a fraction each week. Each reading green; together, the plant telling you what it's about to do. Metis names the asset, projects days-to-impact, and recommends the corrective action with a confidence level.
NAMED ASSET · DAYS-TO-IMPACT · CONFIDENCESteers the plant
Nothing moves without a human decision — final authority stays with your operator, always. But once the operator approves, Metis acts through the same PLCs the plant already trusts: rebalancing trains, adjusting dosing, restaging pumps. A fix in seconds, executed, witnessed, and logged.
HUMAN APPROVAL REQUIREDMetis does not replace your PLCs, your SCADA, or your people.
It supervises alongside them.
Where it applies
Anything with sensors and PLCs
Stormwater was the first story because floods are easy to picture. The mathematics of drift, optimization, and supervised control are the same everywhere machines run continuously.
Origin
The AI inside Metis was originally built to run a fusion reactor — valve timing, RPM, and dozens of interacting parameters in real time.
Water infrastructure is where that intelligence is easiest to show and fastest to matter. Metis was designed by its founder from the first line of code, with one architectural conviction: the machine advises and executes; the human decides. Every recommendation carries its evidence, every action carries its approval, and every decision is logged with its justification.
Where we are
Selecting first pilot partners
Metis is pre-commercial, with first deployments now being selected. Early partners shape the platform and receive terms later partners never will. We are looking for:
- Florida municipalities — stormwater, flood control, and treatment operations ready to see their own system modeled
- Water & RO plant operators — twelve months of downtime and CIP logs is all a pilot evaluation needs: give us your logs, and we'll show you your hours
- Utilities fighting non-revenue water — district metering, night-flow analysis, and supervised pressure control
- Industrial & equipment partners — sensor, telemetry, and treatment-equipment makers whose hardware deserves a brain
Figures shown on this site are advisory planning-model simulations based on published predictive-maintenance benchmarks and plant-typical assumptions. All real-world control actions require human operator approval.
